Come Together & Celebrate World Vegetarian Month Virtually
In celebration of World Vegetarian Month amidst the pandemic and quarantine restrictions, the Science of Identity Foundation Community Assistance for Responsible Existence (SIFCare) has lined up several online activities throughout the month of October.
The humanitarian government organization aims to promote the benefits of vegetarian diet and encourage more people to try it, as more people want to be healthier and mindful of their diet in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Online webinars and talks will be livestreamed on the SIFCare Facebook page to provide information on how people can start a vegetarian diet as well as present its benefits for the body and the planet.
All throughout the month of October, SIFCare will also share tips and vegetarian recipes featuring indigenous vegetables.
Aside from the online activities, there will be vegetarian food distribution in different parts of the country including La Union, Bulacan, Metro Manila, and Cavite, targeting 1,500 beneficiaries from these areas.
The World Vegetarian Day, which falls on October 1, has been celebrated since 1977, and the whole month of October dedicated in promoting the diet.
