Gopalakas Program at Cavite

In support of the National Nutrition Council (NCC) and DepEd’s celebration of National Nutrition Month this July, SIFCare conducted a Gopalakas Feeding Program at the Malinta Elementary School in Dasmarinas, Cavite last July 3.

Fifty elementary students were chosen as beneficiaries and they will be fed nutritious meals month long. The program will also include values education, wisdom, proper hygiene, exercises and traditional Filipino games like Patintero and Luksong Tinik.

GOPALAKAS aims to aid the nutritional needs of undernourished and underweight children by providing nutritious meals prepared from affordable and locally available wholesome ingredients. This is done in partnership with the Department of Education.
