13,659 Volunteers for International Coastal Cleanup 2017
An awesome turnout of 13,659 volunteers took action and the accorded amount of debris collected from the waterways of La Union was 10,816.56 for the International Coastal Cleanup 2017.
This effort to unburden mother earth was participated by tourists and locals from 11 barangays and 63 schools all over the province who were happy to have served mother earth and said they’d be more than willing to do it again.

- Agoo: 2,469 Volunteers / 1,497.65kg of debris
- Aringay: 1,079 Volunteers / 2,250kg of debris
- Bacnotan: 637 Volunteers / 430kg of debris
- Balaoan: 874 Volunteers / 305kg of debris
- Bangar: 700 Volunteers / 450kg of debris
- Bauang: 1895 Volunteers / 1798.5kg of debris
- Caba: 1069 Volunteers / 336.16kg of debris
- Luna: 1714 Volunteers / 1150kg of debris
- San Fernando: 1670 Volunteers / 978kg of debris
- San Juan: 1261 Volunteers / 1563.25kg of debris
- Tubao: 291 Volunteers / 58kg of debris
