In a remarkable display of community partnership, approximately 500 individuals from San Juan, La Union experienced a free rejuvenating acupuncture detoxification (acudetox) treatment, during a three-day program from May 17-19, 2023.

The initiative, facilitated by SIFCare, National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) Philippines, and the San Juan Municipal Government.

Throughout the treatment sessions, patients reported feeling sleepy and relaxed, which led to improved sleep and overall well-being.

Rosalie, one of the patients, experienced a decrease in her high blood pressure reading, right after the treatment and shared that she had a restful night’s sleep following the acudetox treatment.
The acudetox technique, also referred to as the NADA protocol, involves the placement of up to five small, disposable, and sterile needles into specific points on each ear. Patients are then encouraged to remain seated for 20-30 minutes, allowing the treatment to take full effect.

Some of the known benefits the NADA protocol provides include better sleep and the feeling of relaxation and calmness, better blood circulation, and improved energy levels.
This initiative showcases the power of collaboration in providing free holistic wellness solutions to local communities.
