SIFCare Launches GoPalakas Feeding Program at Agoo
This November 7, 2019, SIFCare has launched again its Go Palakas Feeding Program at Agoo East Central, Agoo, La Union.
Feeding not just the body, but also the mind and spirit, Go Palakas aims to normalize the weight and nutrition of the children, increase their strength and confidence through a holistic approach with the hopes that it will help lessen school absences and increase school attendances and participations.
This first day, SIFCare volunteer, Prsni Potian, introduced the Go Palakas program and taught them the Go Palakas songs on health.
Afterwards, feeding coordinator of the school, Sir Antonio Dy, together with the SPG (Supreme Pupil Government) student officers and a few parent volunteers, facilitated the Physical Fitness Test.
Later, the children also gratefully received the lunch boxes donated by the Manila Vegans and Vegans of Manila from their yearly event: Vegfest Pilipinas; which they immediately use for the plant-based meal they had afterwards.
